First, let me enlighten all the critics and skeptics out there, the Cinemate are an EXCELLENT system IF you know how to use it right! I'm a musician and I don't think anyone loves deep, rich sound as much as we do, and i doubt if anyone can criticize audio quality as much as some of us musicians.. The system sounds and works great and I enthusiastically give it a 5 star rating. Setup was a breeze. I agree with much of what Philippe "Phil Reviewer of things" said in his review. I am using Comcast cableTV and had no problems connecting the system to my Sony XBR using the VS-2 video enhancer. The jewel cube speakers are outstanding considering their size. Unlike conventional speakers, they are broken into two speakers each (per speaker) and allow you to swivel each speaker in different directions. I am quite aware that I spent alot of money compared to other systems available, but the Bose design blended nicely into my room's decor.
