At first I thought there was something wrong with the speakers but later I released the patchy sound I was hearing was due to an old set of red and white audio cables. After that I was in surround sound heaven. The sound quality is AWESOME and watching Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan blew me out of my seat. The sound is excellent and the picture comes out crystal clear. I recently watched Stop Making Sense by The Talking Heads on this and it was an awesome experience. You can hear movies in a new way, and pick up sounds you've never heard before. I know Blu Ray is the future of dvds (or so its said) but im going keep this system for a very long time.
