Friend, Dolby 6.1 Lord of the Rings- ROTK makes this system sing. You really get great speakers for the money. They look nice too- the speakers don't have the "boxy" look of many other systems- rather, they are very sharp looking with mostly polished metal casing. It's now available at Amazon for an unbelievable price of less than USD$300. I have them wallmounted with B-Tech BT33 wall-mounts. They sound good and give their money's worth. They are definitely an upgrade to H.T.I.B. speakers but not as good as something almost small and comparable as Paradigm Cinema 90s. After connecting up to my Onkyo TX-SR606 reciver was amazed at the decent sound... especially in a 17 x 24 room and for this price. I like knowing that I didn't pay too much and didn't really sacrifice that much at all. Yes, the speaker wires were a bit on the small side... but hey, they gave me enough to cover a pretty large room and I liked it that they were color-coded. I hooked them up to my Onkyo 7.1 receiver and it automatically callibrated the speakers. Not only are these speakers ultra-affordable but they are of excellent quality as well. I hooked them up to my Onkyo 605 receiver and the sound quality was immediately evident. I purchased this to accompany my new Samsung LCD television and it "communicates" with the system. It actually got kind of annoying having it turn my TV on automatically and if I turned my TV off it would turn the system off (I don't want to have a static image on my screen when using the ipod feature). Even if i didn't these are still really good bang for the buck. When opening the box i had the usual dread before setting up a speaker system but it all took about 15 minutes or less. The mounts may not rotate but they're free and suit me. I have all the satellites mounted and its going strong. Cables are more than long enough for me but i'm in a 10x10 room.
