This JVC is a compact unit that fits well into the space which I had available for it; it has all the operating features that I wanted, plus some I will probably never use. Some negatives: (1)The speaker cabinets are ALL plastic -- the kind of plastic which will put the slightest scratch or scuff on full display. Just a little bit of metal and/or wood veneer on these would be preferable. (2)The FM reception is poor and the FM stereo is plagued by a lot of noise -- typical, it seems, of ALL these JVC micro systems. ...more
